Kristina Bicher is a poet, essayist, translator and performance artist. Her debut full-length collection She-Giant in the Land of Here-We-Go-Again is due out in the spring of 2020 from MadHat Press. Her chapbook, Just Now Alive, was a finalist in the New Women’s Voices Series (FLP, 2014).
Her poems and translations have appeared in Denver Quarterly, Ploughshares, Hayden's Ferry Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, The Harvard Review, Barrow Street, Narrative, Plume, Bellingham Review, Tupelo Quarterly, and others and have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her essays have been featured in The Atlantic, The Rumpus and Columbia Journal. She is a founding member of the Heirs to Bedlam performance collective. Kristina attended the Bread Loaf Translation conference.
She received a BA from Harvard University, an MA in creative writing from Manhattanville College and an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. She frequently reads in the greater New York City area, conducts workshops, curates readings and takes on private students.
