Kristina Andersson Bicher is a poet, essayist, and translator. Her debut full-length collection She-Giant in the Land of Here-We-Go-Again was published in March 2020 by MadHat Press. Her chapbook, Just Now Alive, was a finalist in the New Women’s Voices Series (FLP, 2014).
Her translation of Swedish poet Marie Lundquist's collection I Walk Around Gathering Up My Garden for the Night was published in a bilingual edition in the fall of 2020 from Bitter Oleander Press.
Poems and translations have appeared in Denver Quarterly, Ploughshares, Hayden's
Ferry Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, The Harvard Review, Colorado Review, Barrow Street, Narrative, Plume, Bellingham Review, Tupelo Quarterly, and others and have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her essays have been featured in The Atlantic, The Rumpus and Columbia Journal. She is a founding member of the Heirs to Bedlam performance collective. Kristina attended the Bread Loaf Translation conference.
She received a BA from Harvard University, an MA in creative writing from Manhattanville College and an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College.
